Agency receives awards for digital, social media, reputation, brand management, international public relations and writing

Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global communications and engagement firms, was the most awarded agency at the 2017 Minnesota Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Classics Awards on April 20, receiving eight awards on behalf of healthcare and technology clients. It was also a finalist for Best of Show. The agency and its clients were honored for work across digital, paid media, scientific communications, writing, earned media, reputation and brand management, and international communications.

The Minnesota PRSA Classics Awards are presented annually to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a communications challenge with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. The program is one of the largest and most competitive PRSA awards programs in the nation.

“These wins demonstrate the value of integrated, patient-centric programs that shine a light on pressing issues and strive to make a difference,” said Kristen Thistle, executive vice president and Minneapolis Health lead. “Our healthcare client partners and the meaningful work we do with them have helped us become one of the most awarded healthcare communications agencies in the state.”

“As our industry evolves, our teams continue to be at the forefront of creative thinking that drives meaningful client campaigns and measurable business results,” said Aaron Masterson, senior vice president and Minneapolis Technology lead. “We are honored to be recognized among some of the top campaigns in our industry.”
